AEP Studios

1st Logo (1999-2005)

Nicknames: Sally's Radio Tower, RKO Parody

Logo: On a black background, we see a green grid outline of Sally the Cat's head being drawn, then a light flashes and then the outline turns black. Then a green RKO-like radio tower is built on top of her head, and we zoom out a little bit as it is built. When it is done, white rings start popping out of it, causing the radio tower itself to change to white and the text "AEP" and the word "STUDIOS" below it to appear, and the text shines when it shows up. Sally looks at the radio tower once the rings come out of it, then after a few seconds we fade to black.

Music/Sounds: The Toei Home Video logo fanfare and the morse code beeps when the white rings appear.

FX/SFX: Good animation.

Availability: First seen on the 1999 Spanish-language re-release of the 1981 film Priscilla's Vacation right after the Industria del Cine en Español logo.

Scare factor: Medium.

2nd Logo (2004-)

Logo: On a dark blue background, several 5-pointed stars are seen. In sync to the music, they grow and arrange into a pattern similar to the 50-star version of the US flag. They then turn to "A" shapes, which flips to the same letter shapes while they zoom in and change color. When they get closer to the screen, the background turns pink and the shapes turn multicolored and flash at random times. A green "A" appears and copies and flips in sync with the theme as the background becomes dark blue again. It then slips into 3 "A" shapes before one the same letter remains and flips around to form the "A", interlocking with the same letter as the first letter of the AEP logo. "EP" zooms in and lock in with the logo and zooms towards the screen with the dark red shadow and in pink respectively. "STUDIOS" appears below also in sync with the music. The camera then zooms into the "E" as the background becomes red. Afterwards, the camera zooms out and moves up as we can see Sally smiling and looking at us. Sally blinks her eyes twice. The camera moves up as the logo appears below respectively. The logo zooms into the camera as Sally jumps, zooms out and sits on the "E" and cuts back to the logo fully forming, but this time Sally sits on the "E", and she waves her left hand before the logo fades to black.

FX/SFX: All very nice and acceptable 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: A triumphant trumpet fanfare with violins, bells and a glockenspiel.

Availability: Common. It was in tandem with other logos.

Scare Factor: None to low. Sally looks cute.

3rd Logo (2005-2013)

Logo: We zoom out of the Sally head from the first logo's pupil, and we see that the head is floating through space and that she has the white radio tower also from the first logo on top of her head. Sally looks at it, and then white rings pop out of the radio tower the same way as the 1st logo, and then the "AEP Studios" wordmark from the first logo this time in white fades in below. We fade to black after a few seconds.

Music/Sounds: The 1984-1991 New World Pictures fanfare, and some morse code beeps when the white rings appear. Otherwise the logo is silent or has the opening theme of the movie.

FX: Great animation and space backgound

Scare factor: Minimal.

FX/SFX: Circles coming out of the top of the aerial.

Music/Sounds: Same as the RKO Pictures 1997 logo.

Availability: Common.

Trivia: The logo is the same as the RKO Pictures 1997 logo, but with a Sally head.

Scare Factor: Minimal for suddenly Sally's eye blinks.

5th Logo (2014-)

Music/Sounds: The whoosh sound and the Focus Features fanfare, But, the alternate verison have the Village Films fanfare without the whoosh sound.

6th Logo (2015-)

Nicknames:"Random Characters", "Mangled Sketchbook"

Logo:On a colorful background, we see a group of full colored random characters (mostly characters from shows that the company makes including "The New Aaron Show"), including what appears to be a animated colored sketch of Sally (in an Ancient Egyptian style) praying at the bottom right, Koko doing a test tube experiment at the top, a drawing of Sally giggling at the bottom left, a drawing of Aaron and Sam on the top left, and even a colorized drawing of Sarah (from "Revenge of Sarah") on the top right. Over it is the white rectangle with the AEP Studios text from the previous logo.

Variant: On "The Amazing Adventures of Doddler the Cat", a group of full colored random characters are replaced by some characters from Ed, Edd n Eddy, including appears to be the Eds eating Jawbreakers, Sarah yelling and Jimmy scared at the top, a drawing of Jonny 2x4 and Plank at the bottom left, a drawing of Kevin and Nazz on the top left, and a colorized drawing of Rolf on the top right.

Scare Factor: None.

7th Logo (unused, 2016)

Nicknames: Sally from Hell, Evil Sally, The Unused AEP

Logo: On a background with colorful dots, we see a still picture of three anthro (a cross of "funny animal" a la Looney Tunes and the style used by Arthur and various other 90s TV shows, not like "anthro" (furry) pictures on DeviantArt) female cats. Then a close-up of Sally's face appears and then zooms out. The company name fades in next to Sally. The logo continues strobing until it fades out.

FX/SFX: The strobing, the fade in and the zoomout.

Cheesy Factor: The effects are terrible and the strobing can cause seizures.

Music/Sounds: A creepy drumbeat accompanied by explosion sound effects and screaming sounds. If you listen closely, you can hear Sally screaming.

Availability: This logo was originally going to debut at the start of Revenge of Sarah: The Movie 2. However, the logo went unused after Argosy forced them to use the 4th logo. The logo itself can be seen on VidSpace.

Scare Factor: NIGHTMARE. The flashing, jarring appearance, creepy music, screaming, and bizarre subject matter can be an extremely unsettling sight. Also, the strobing is not a very good view for those with epilepsy. It may also remind you of the Asymmetrical Productions "Strobe Light from Hell" logo. The still variant is much tamer since it removes the sound effects and the strobing.
