Logo: On a purple-black gradient background, we see the close up of a circle and ball and a circle draw, then flips over to a icy blue rectangle with circle and "BSB" and shines.
FX: CGI animation.
Music/Sounds: A synth fanfare.

2nd Logo (1990)
Standard Logos Variants
Nickname: "BSB Balls II"Logo: On a black BG, we see the blurry red and green circles, then became blue, and 3D circle draws out. The 3D balls fly away and "BSB" flying out and the words "BRITISH SATELLITE BROADCASTING" fading in.
FX: Not too bad for CGI.
Music/Sounds: A majestic fanfare combined with horns.
