CaT Entertainment, Inc is an American entertainment company best known for its animations and, as of 1998, its film productions and video games. Headquartered in Chicago, CaT Entertainment is one of the world’s largest independent children, youth and young-adult’s entertainment companies with ownership and licensing rights to some of the most recognizable original content.

In March 2012, Macrohard Corporation acquired CaT Entertainment for $800 billion. It has been a limited liability company (LLC) From Then Untill CFG Brought The Company. For financial reporting purposes, CaT is reported as primarily a part of Macrohard's Studio Entertainment or Consumer Products segments. However, CaT considers the company a media production arm of Macrohard.

In 2015, Macrohard Studio Entertainment and CaT were Sold To CFG for $9000 Billion as part of a reorgantzaiion. Macrohard Studio Entertainment was renamed CFG Studios as a result.

1st Logo (1989-1995)

Nicknames: "The Dots", "Red and Blue Dots"

Logo: On a black background, we see two circles in red and blue respectively below. Suddenly, a white light hovers over them, making turn into spheres. The two spheres zoom out. The word "C · a · T" fades in with each sphere and the end of the letter.

Variants:

  • On one short, the logo Is still.
  • On another short, the logo scrolls from the right to the left.
  • On yet another short, the spheres appears by a light and the word "C · a · T zooms up to the screen.

FX/SFX: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Rare. seen on CaT's animated shorts from 1989 to 1995.

2nd Logo (1995-2005)

Nicknames: "The Box", "90s CaT Box"

Logo: On a shady gray background, we see the word "CaT", in silver, inside a silver rectangular outline. Under that reads "www.cat.com" and a certain copyright notice (see below). There is a spotlight from the top left of the screen, casting a shadow of the logo on the floor.

The UR And/Or Notice May Not Even Appear There is an extended variant that starts out on a black background, where a light brightens and flashes, revealing the box and the text. There is also no URL or copyright info whatsoever (because they both appears at the end of CaT's first film, Mutations).

Availability: The short version is more common and appears at the end of TV shows that CaT Produces. The extended variant is super rare and is only seen on Mutations and Catales: The Complete Fourth Season on DVD.

Scare Factor: None to Minimal.

3rd Logo (2001-2006, 2008)

Nicknames: "The Other Box" "CaT PlayBox", "Pinwheel from Toyland", "The CaT Playhouse" "The Ribbon of Fun"

Logo: On a blue background we see an orange ribbon flying from the right edge of the screen. Then the ribbon makes its way to form the spring (or tunnel). After that we see more colorful ribbons but smaller and some fireworks. Later, the camera moves into the center of tunnel, then the tunnel disappears and from its place comes a straight line of light which is zooming into an "a" in the CaT logo in light blue, which fades in the same time as "C" and "T". As it does so, an outline appears around "CaT", just like the last logo.

Variant: On the end of The Secret Life Of Cats, the logo is in warp speed.

FX/SFX: The light, fireworks, the ribbon and the small ribbons.

Music/Sounds: At the beginning is a swoosh sound, then when the items come out of the ribbon tunnel we hear some cartoony effects, and we hear the majestic 9-note fanfare.

Availability: This logo serves as a logo for feature films produced by CaT starting with Newt. The last movie with this logo is Kitty S.O.S: Los Angeles. This logo makes a brief comeback at the end of The Secret Life Of Cats (albeit in a warp speed version).

4th Logo (2005-2009)

Nicknames: "The Box II", "2000s CaT Box", "Cheesy Glow"

Logo: On a blue background, we see the CaT logo (as seen in the previous logo) from before, but in black. A glow of light surrounds the text. Sometimes, the "www.cat.com" URL and a copyright notice appears below.

Variants:

  • An in-credit variation exists on Can A Cat Save Your Life?.
  • Since 2008, there is no byline below the logo, instead just having a copyright stamp.

Bylines:

  • 2005-2006: "CAT is a trademark of CAT ENTERTAINMENT PLC"
  • 2006-2008: "CAT is a trademark of CAT ENTERTAINMENT"

FX/SFX: The glow emitting from behind the logo.

Music/Sounds: An 4-Note Choir Tune. Otherwise, the ending theme of the show might play over.

Availability: Seen on CaT shows from the period including Kitty S.O.S from the 2006-2009 seasons, Catales and Port Angeles.

Scare Factor: None. Way better than the past logo.

5th Logo (2007-2009)

Nicknames: "Glass Letters", "Glassy CaT Box" "Shining Curtains",

Logo: We see several rectangular glass panels, with brightly-colored lights shining through it. There are reflections of "C", "a" and "T", which eventually come together to form the CaT logo, on a dark blue-black gradient background, which has been in use since 1995.

FX/SFX: The text and shining glass.

Music/Sounds: A triumphiant orchestral piece composed with guitars, drums and a choir, followed by an 11-note synth tune.

Availability: Seen on only three movies produced by CaT, Mutations III, The Secret Life Of Cats, and Mutations IV: The Ark Of Truth.

Scare Factor: Low,

6th Logo (2009-2012, 2015-)

Nicknames: "2010s CaT Box" "Flashing Box", "Color Concentric", "Purple CaT" "GRT's father"

Logo: A red screen flashes in a red lens flare, and it causes CaT box logo to appear, this time in a small, purple background. The background then glows in red as several flares in different color, suddenly flashing one by one. It lights the CaT logo. The effect of flashing also appears circle that left. The color in the background change each time a flash appears.

Variants:

  • A CopyProtection Stamp May Appear
  • One 2012 Version Has The Stamp In A Different Font
  • There is a short version used for TV shows.
  • An in-credit version exists on some content which includes the CaT logo in white inside a purple box on a black background.
  • Starting in 2012, the byline "A Marcohard Company" fades below the logo.
  • In 2015, the byline was changed to "A CFG Company" as part of a reorganization.
  • One variant has the word "Distribution" above the byline.

7th Logo (2012-2015)

Nicknames: "The 4-Split Box" "The Macrohard-CaT Logo Hybrid", "Boring Box", "Green CaT"

Logo: On a green background, pieces of white dust come to the center of the screen to form a square, which then splits into quarters. The square then slides to the left, revealing "CaT Entertainment" next to it. the byline "A Microsoft Company" fades in below.

Variant: On TV shows, the logo plays quicker than usual.

FX/SFX: Modern 2D animation in the same way as Marcohard's 2012 rebrand.

Music/Sounds: Mellow bubbling soundtrack.

Availability: Rare. Seen on all CaT movies and TV shows from 2012-2015. Usually Plastered By The Last Logo.

Scare Factor: None. It's a very simple logo.
