Adam's Dream Logos 2.0 - Adam's Closing Logos - Dream Logos Wiki

Clever Goblin Film was a Filipino film company. It was founded by Rames Clever and Ben Goblin on 1963. They didn't make films on early-1968 when the prototype logo was introduced, as well as the in-credit logo at the end of films.

1st Logo (1969-1973)[]

Warning Warning: The logo is very loud and might put your audio equipment at risk of potential damage, so we suggest you turning down the volume before watching.

Nicknames: "Hole Of Doom", "The Hole", "I'm Confused, Isn't It A Black Hole?".

Logo: On the cyan background, we see a hole zooming in slowly. Suddenly, Clever Goblin appears that causes the hole to stop zooming, and disappear. After it disappears, the word

wipes down.

FX/SFX: The hole zooming, Clever Goblin appearing, and the wiping. Pretty decent animation for 1969.

Music/Sounds: A drumroll plays. When the hole zooms in, a loud drilling noise is heard. When Clever Goblin appears, there a loud deep thunder/explosion sound while the victory fanfare plays. After the fanfare, a sound that sounds like a sci-fi ambience.

Music/Sounds Variant: On rare occasions, the audio might sounded noise reduced.

Availability: As mentioned in the Background section, "They didn't make films on early-1968 when the prototype logo was introduced, as well as the in-credit logo at the end of films". However, it was seen on early/mid/late films during 1970 and 1978 (As the next logo was introduced, intentionally).

Scare Factor: Medium to nightmare, the loud sound of a drill can startle/scare a few. The loud thunder/explosion sound doesn't help either, and Clever Goblin appearing out can deal a good jumpscare to many.

2nd Logo (1973-present)[]

Nicknames: "Hole Of Doom II", "The Hole II", "The Cartoony Hole".

Logo: On the same background from the previous logo, we see a hole zooming in fast (debris can be seen) and stops. Then, Clever Goblin (now in a cartoon style) comes out of the hole, jumping as the hole disappears. The word

fades in (there's some copyright stamp below). It ends with the word fading out and zooming to Clever Goblin.

FX/SFX: The hole zooming, Clever Goblin coming out and jumping, the disappearing, the fading in, the fading out, and the zooming in. Again, pretty decent animation.

Cheesy Factor: The hole zooming looks choppy, also Clever Goblin coming out of the hole is very sudden.

Music/Sounds: A ascending drill noise plays when the hole zooms in. A loud cartoon "BOING!" sound when Clever Goblin comes out of the hole, followed by the "Merrily We Roll Along" music. Slightly loud rumbling sounds are heard after the "BOING!" sound.

Availability: This logo was seen on early to mid films in 1974 and early-1979.

Scare Factor: Low to high. Clever Goblin coming out, the cheesy animation and the drill noise can frighten/scare a good amount of people but it's tamer than the previous logo.

Final Note[]

On the 1980s, the company went defunct and stopped making films. However, you can see the logo on YouTube, Internet Archive (including the films from the company), etc.
