1st Logo (1976-2005)


Nickname: "The DC Stamp"

Logo: Against either a black or white background, we see the corporate DC Comics logo, in various color schemes, such as blue, black, orange, or gold.

FX/SFX: None. Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Rare. Hardly be seen on television, but appears on numerous games based on Batman (where it was first seen in 1996), Catwoman, Justice League franchises, and also appears on Superman: The Man of Steel.

Scare Factor: None.



2nd Logo (2005-2006)

Logo: On a aqua background, we see the "DC" and a star behind the letters. Over the logo, a ring is seen behind it. Under the logo, we see the words "DC COMICS". FX/SFX: None. Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Ultra rare. Seen on Teen Titans and Krypto the Superdog on Boomerang.

Scare Factor: None.


3rd Logo (2005-2012)



Logo: An animated version of the previous logo. On a black background, we see a shining wall full of blue dots, which then zooms out to the DC logo, we also see various DC characters as we zoom out. As the camera finishes zooming out, the letters "DC" are formed by the dots. A shooting star is then formed around the letters, and the words "DC COMICS" or "DC ENTERTAINMENT" appear below the logo. The words and logo also zoom out slowly before fading out.

Variant: On some video games, no text is used.

Music/Sounds: A short but sharp-sounded fanfare.

Availability: Common. Appears on DC-licensed products since 2005. First used on the film Batman Begins.

Availability: Seen on the newest DC-licensed products. The first movie to use this logo was The Dark Knight Rises.
