Background: Dead Father Films was a label of Screen Gems, focusing on NC-17 rated horror movies. The company shut-down due to it filing for Chapter 20 bankruptcy.
|Warning:||Due to the logo's blood and gore, videos and images of this logo will not be allowed on this site.|
Nicknames: "Why I (H)ate my Father", "Kid With a Chainsaw", "Is This Kid Allowed to Play With Chainsaws?", "Why My Dad Gave My Trio Box to my Sister"
Logo: In a living room, we see a man (The father) reading a book while sitting on a comfy chair, a few seconds later, a kid with a chainsaw appears and cuts his father's head out leaving out bloodstains on the floor, we then pan to the floor where we see the text "DEAD FATHER FILMS" covered in blood, the Screen Gems byline appears below.
FX/SFX: All live-action.
Cheesy Factor: What the heck?! Why is that kid playing with a chainsaw, did he ask permission? And what's with all the blood?
Music/Sounds: Same as the Ghost House Pictures logo, but with the faint screaming absent along with a chainsaw running sound for when the kid uses the chainsaw.
Availability: Rare. Seen on all their films from the company. This last appeared on Chainsaw Shop.
Scare Factor: High to nightmare. The blood, along with the music can scare lots of many, but it's a favorite of many, especially for NC-17 rated horror movie fans that are used to it.
