Background: Deer Home Video was a home video company that was founded in 1986 to distribute B-movies and cartoons on video. In 1993, the company disappeared.
1st (only) Logo (1986-1993)
Nickname: "The D"
Logo: On a grey marble background, many short lines come together, forming a box with a "D" on it. The box zooms out and the words "DEER HOME VIDEO" fade in. The finished logo looks like this:
(box) DEER HOME VIDEO
FX/SFX: Good computer animation for the time.
Music/Sounds: A mysterious tune that later turns into a good techno riff.
Availability: Rare. Was seen at the start and end of many Deer Home Video VHS releases, such as Melody Time, The Jetsons, as well as some VHS releases of B-movies.
Scare Factor: Low to medium. This is a good logo, but the mysterious tune at the beginning might startle some people who haven't seen it.
