Revision as of 09:06, 14 January 2019

Background: FatCat Productions was the distribution division of Paws, Inc., creators of the strip Garfield.

1st Logo

(2005-2008?)

FatCat1

Nicknames: "The Garfield Logo" (Not to be confused with the Film Roman logo) "GARFIELD!"

Logo: On a white background, we see the words "FatCat" written in Cooper Black with a wavy effect, and the word "PRODUCTIONS" written in the Garfield font. In the corner, we see Garfield holding a pencil, looking to the screen.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: Thom Huge in his Jon Arbuckle voice screaming "GARFIELD!"

Availability: Uncommon, bordering on rare. Majority of their productions containing this have been plastered with the 20th Television logo. Also seen on a few reruns of Garfield and Friends on Qubo.

Editor’s Note: The scream may get to people, but other than that, it's harmless. ESPECIALLY when compared to the next logo.....

2nd Logo

(2008?-2010)

FatCat2

Nicknames: "Garfield's Dark Side" "Garfield, what happened?" "Sweaty Garfield (of Doom)"

Logo: On a black background, we see an image of a nervous looking Garfield, with an orange border. Under that, we see the words "FatCat" written in Cooper Black, and "PRODUCTIONS" written in the Garfield font.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Same as the last logo, but it’s more harder to find due to shorter lifespan. The only known production to still have this logo is a rerun of Garfield and Friends on Qubo which aired on March 14, 2009.

Editor’s Note: The drawing of Garfield is pretty unsettling, and the lack of sound or special effects might get to people.

3rd Logo

(2010-2014)

FatCat3

Nicknames: "Garfield in Ken Burns" "Cool Cat"

Logo: We see images of Garfield flashing, until it stops at one image (the one you see above) it tints to orange, and the familiar "FatCat PRODUCTIONS" script flies in from the left.

FX/SFX: The images flashing, and the letters flying in.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat techno theme.

Availability: Rare, as seen in the first two logos above.

Editor’s Note: It's tamer than the previous logo, and looks REALLY cool.

Final Note: In 2014, the company was sold to 20th Television, and was shut down.
