1st Logo
(2009-2013)
Nicknames: "Homer Simpson I", "Homer Simpson on the Globe", "Homer's Universal Logo", "MCA TV Parody"
Logo: In space, we see Homer Simpson (from The Simpsons) standing on an Earth globe. The golden-yellow text reading "HOMER SIMPSON PRODUCTIONS" is on the middle and a copyright stamp is underneath.
FX/SFX: None, unless you count on the fading in and out to black transition.
Music/Sounds: The 1960's Revue Studios theme.
Availability: Seen on season 1 of The Homer Simpson Show and the failed pilot The Szyslaks.
Editor's Note: This is a funny logo, but the Revue Studios music and the still logo can startle a little.
2nd Logo
(2013-)
Nicknames: "Homer Simpson II", "D'oh!"
Logo: On a black background, we see Homer walking. The 3D "HSM" in an orange, bold font falls to the ground, and Homer goes "D'oh!". A copyright stamp fades in underneath.
FX/SFX: Homer walking, the "HSM" falling to the ground, Homer doing his annoyed grunt, the copyright stamp fading in. Homer is 2D-animated, while "HSM" is CGI-animated.
Music/Sounds: The 1982 Metromedia Producers Corporation logo's theme with Homer's "D'oh!" catchphrase playing over the last note.
Availability: Seen on season 2 of The Homer Simpson Show.
Editor's Note: This logo can surprise a few when they see it for the first time.
