Background: IDT Entertainment is formed in 2002 as a division of IDT Media. They also acquired Film Roman in December, renaming to "DPS Film Roman" the next year and also acquired Manga Entertainment and DKP Studios the same year. In 2003, IDT acquires Anchor Bay Entertainment. In 2005, IDT Corporation acquires Liberty Media and also acquired Starz, MoviePlex and Encore. In 2006, Liberty Media went back independent and IDT Entertainment renamed to "Starz Media".
1st Logo (2003-2006)
Nickname: "The Double-Arch"
Logo: On a black background, we see the words "IDT" in sapphire blue with an arch in the same color fading in. There is a flame flying in from the right forming "ENTERTAINMENT" in sliver and later forms a silver arch underneath the sapphire blue arch. Variant: There is also a version where the logo is a still picture.
FX/SFX: The flame animating and the silver arch forming. At the end of TV programs, it's a still shot of the logo with just the fade-in and fade-out.
Music/Sounds: The end title theme from any show, or silent. On trailers of Masters of Horror and on DVD releases, it's the sound of a flame followed by a sound of a wind blowing was only heard. On films, it's the music's soundtrack.
Availability: Seen on the first season of Masters of Horror on Chiller, Reelz Channel, and its DVD releases and films by IDT.
Scare Factor: Minimum.
2nd Logo (August 28, 2006-January 29, 2007)
Nicknames: "IDT", "Silhouettes", "IDT Family" Logo: On a blue background, there is a box outlined in yellow. Inside it has a giant word "IDT" in solid blue lettering surrounded by yellow lights and blue silhouettes of a family below the letters. Below the box says "ENTERTAINMENT". FX/SFX: None. Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.
Availability: Uncommon. It's seen on the first 9 episodes (18 episodes if you want to count two episodes on one program) season 1 episodes of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! on Nick Jr. Also seen on twoWow! Wow! Wubbzy! DVDs: "A Little Help From My Friends" and "A Tale of Tails".
Scare Factor: None.
3rd Logo (September 15, 2006)
Nickname: "Filmstrip" Logo: On a black-blue background, we see a boy with a baseball on a filmstrip, they turn into "IDT", then a flash, then a solid version of the filmstrip, then we see a flash, then the filmstrip turn into a box with a filmstrip with lights in the background and into a box, we see "ENTERTAINMENT". FX/SFX: The filmstrip moving. Music/Sounds: A dramatic fantasy-oriented fanfare.
Availability: Only seen on Everyone's Hero.
Scare Factor: Minimal, due to the dramatic music & the shining.
Final Note: On August 31, 2006, IDT Corp. sold IDT Entertainment to Liberty Media for $186 Million. Immediately, IDT Entertainment was renamed to Starz Media. However, this 2nd logo was intact on the 2007 episodes "The Grass is Always Plaider" and "Everything's Coming Up Wubbzy?". As a result, they use the 2007 copyright notice to Bolder Media and Starz Media.
