(1980's)

Nickname: "The Masters of the Universe-like Logo"

Logo: In a black starry background with the ultramarine (or air superiority blue) grid at the bottom, a long hexagonal (parallelepiped-shaped) outline zooms in, then the red stylized "MASTER" in the almost similar font as the word "MASTERS" in the logo of Masters of the Universe, slides up and its outline zooming out until it fits on the "MASTER" zooming in and out once again (as a flashing effect), lastly followed by yellow "VIDEO" and "SERVICES" zooming in place at the bottom of the red text. The finished logo looks like the Masters of the Universe one. After that, we cut to a shot of a person's hand using a red marker to write "A Warning From the FBI" in cursive text followed by another shot of the same person using a black marker to write the usual FBI warning message, eventually followed by a still image of the company's address and phone number written in red marker.

FX/SFX: Zooming in and out, the outline 'flashing', the grid...

Cheesy Factor: ...which are all cheap and why is the font of the word "MASTER" and the logo design copied off the Masters of the Universe logo? As if copying the Masters of the Universe logo wasn't cheap enough, they actually used live-action footage of someone writing a warning message! Not to mention that you can actually see the person's head as they write the warning at times, and the logo actually clocks in at more than a minute-and-a-half! Was this a video distributor's logo or a high school project?

Music: A instrumental version of "Take On Me" by A-ha. As we see the warning, we hear the sound of chalk writing. Later tapes had the 2nd ATV logo's music, and no music accompanying the chalk writing sound.

Availability: Rare. Seen on old VHS tapes. Their tapes were released in some parts of Canada, some of them have made their way into the United States! One of the tapes featuring this logo is "Maple Town: Volume 1".

Scare Factor: Medium for its dark background and cheap animation, but the following FBI warning is more cheesy and ridiculously cheap-looking than anything else. Even using the Russian ATV 2nd logo's catchy tune makes it even more cheaper!
