Background: This is the vanity card of Seinfeld producer Mac Robert.
Logo (August 19, 1996-)[]
We see a whale diving into a gradient white orange pattern and gets inside into into a “TM” in an orange square and the words “TeleMachus” and “Productions” in Impact and Standard Blackletter fade.
Variants:
- When this logo debuted in 1996, the whale crossfades to the “TM” in no square. There was no “productions” at the bottom of the text saying “TeleMachus”. The TM also zooms in and has a smaller outline.
- A 16:9 version of the 1996 logo exists. It is seen on broadcast reruns of Seinfeld on TV Land, Comedy Central, syndication, etc.
- On Agree Culture, the logo shares the screen with Dan Harvey Productions.
- Since 2003, the outline became more thick, and the “productions” was added below the text saying “productions”. An orange square was added behind the “TM”.
- Since 2013, the words saying “DOMAIN telemacrobert.com” were added below.
- Starting in 2022, the fonts “TM” and “PRODUCTIONS” have are replaced by Cochin.
Availability: First debuted on the UPN 1996 animated TV movie Diplomats Support Mac. It later appears on Seinfeld starting with the Season 8 episode The Checks. The logo also appears on Dragon Tales, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Locusts, Despicable Me: Behind the Making, Mother Up!, The Handmaid’s Tale, Agree Culture, the 2020 reboot of Animaniacs, and Quiz Lady.
